Guidelines for General Abstract Submission

(Applicable to Award Papers, Free Papers and E-Posters)

Eligibility

  • Scientific work should relate to Pediatrics or allied pediatric specialties.
  • Presenting author is responsible for scientific integrity.
  • Conference registration is mandatory before final acceptance.
  • Authors shall comply with IAP and PEDICON policies.

Originality

  • Original work only.
  • No fabrication, falsification or plagiarism.
  • No duplicate submission.
  • No copyright violation.

Ethics

  1. IEC approval number shall be mandatory wherever applicable.
  2. If exempt, exemption shall be declared
  3. Scientific Committee may request supporting documents.

Patient Consent

Mandatory for identifiable photographs, radiological images, videos, case reports and identifiable patient information.

Conflict of Interest

Every submission must include a Conflict of Interest declaration. If none exists: ‘The authors declare no conflict of interest.’

AI Declaration

AI use for language editing/formatting shall be declared. Authors remain responsible for scientific accuracy.

Authorship

Presenting Author, Corresponding Author, Principal Investigator (Award Papers), Guide/Supervisor and First Author should be clearly identified.

Abstract Structure

Maximum 300 words.
Research: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Case Report: Background, Case Description, Investigations, Management, Outcome, Learning Points.

Keywords

3–5 keywords, specialty and category are mandatory.

Editing

Editing is permitted until the submission deadline only.

Withdrawal

Withdrawal permitted only before reviewer allocation.

Change of Presenting Author

Permitted only before the notified deadline with Scientific Committee approval.

Rights of the Scientific Committee

May reject, reclassify, transfer, modify presentation category or request revisions.

Scientific Integrity Declaration

Authors shall certify originality, ethics approval/exemption, patient consent, COI disclosure, AI declaration, author approval, authenticity of data and no duplicate submission.
