General Abstract Submission Guidelines

Part I – Applicable to Award Papers, Free Papers & E-Posters

Last date for submission: 30^th September 2026

These general guidelines apply to every scientific submission for PEDICON 2027 – Award Papers, Free Papers and E-Posters. Please read them together with the category-specific guidelines before submitting your abstract.

1. Eligibility & Compliance

Specialty Focus: Scientific work must relate to Pediatrics or allied specialties.
Presenting author is responsible for scientific integrity.
Conference Registration mandatory prior to final acceptance.
Must strictly comply with IAP and PEDICON policies.

2. Ethics & Originality

Original work only (no fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or duplicate submission).
IEC Approval Number mandatory wherever applicable.
Exemption declaration required if IEC is exempt.
Patient Consent mandatory for identifiable images, radiology, or case reports.
Must strictly comply with IAP and PEDICON policies.

3. Abstract Structure & Formatting

Word Limit: Maximum 300 words.
Keywords: 3 to 5 mandatory (along with specialty and category).
Research Structure: Background → Objectives → Methods → Results → Conclusion.
Case Report Structure: Background → Case Description → Investigations → Management → Outcome → Learning Points.

4. Declarations & Authorship

Conflict of Interest (COI) declaration mandatory. (If none: ‘The authors declare no conflict of interest.’)
AI Declaration required if used for language editing / formatting.
Clearly identify Presenting Author, Corresponding Author, Principal Investigator (PI), Guide & First Author.

5. Submission & Committee Policies

                Editing permitted until submission deadline only.
Withdrawal permitted only before reviewer allocation.
Change of Presenting Author requires prior Scientific Committee approval before notified deadline.
Scientific Committee reserves rights to reject, reclassify, transfer, modify category, or request revisions.

            

Scientific Integrity Declaration
Authors shall certify originality, ethics approval/exemption, patient consent, COI disclosure, AI declaration, author approval, authenticity of data, and confirm no duplicate submission.
